Façade renovation of administration building
- Reference project: Façade renovation of administration building
- Client: Würth GmbH & Co. KG, Gaisbach
- Planning: KALIS INNOVATION GmbH & Co. KG, Künzelsau
- Execution: Hammersen Elementbau GmbH & Co. KG, Osnabrück
Project description
As part of the refurbishment, the existing facade of an administration building of Würth GmbH & Co. KG in Gaisbach was modernised both technically and visually. The aim was to optimise the energy efficiency of the building envelope and to dismantle the facade, as individual components no longer fulfilled their function. The substructure of the facade consisted of two levels: While the inner level could be retained, the outer level had to be completely replaced. Particular attention was paid to improving functionality without changing the familiar external appearance of the building.
Products used
The REISSER spacer screw RDS was used. Around 3,000 pieces were used.
Design advantage
A particular advantage of the RDS solution is that the existing substructure could remain in place. With the help of the RDS, a new substructure was created on the existing structure - without the need for costly dismantling. This saves time and money and significantly reduces the need to interfere with the existing building fabric.
Special requirements
The work was carried out without interrupting office operations and required precise project coordination and speedy execution. In addition, flexible adaptation to the conditions of the existing façade was necessary.
Project duration
The project was fully implemented in just one month - including the dismantling of the old external façade substructure, installation of the new substructure with RDS and final façade cladding. This speaks in favour of the particularly economical installation of the system.
Result
The modernised facade impresses with its restored appearance, greater rear ventilation, improved energy efficiency and a sustainable construction.
