RT5 - The new REISSER decking drilling screw
With the RT5 decking drilling screw, REISSER is launching a new generation of decking fittings. Developed and produced in Germany, the RT5 combines proven technologies with innovative properties to meet even the highest demands in decking construction. It is perfect for professional decking construction using any type of wood on a wooden substructure.
The SIT® drive ensures fast, precise bit positioning and wobble-free screwing. This enables optimal power transmission and minimises the risk of over-tightening. In addition, the RT5 is compatible with standard TX bits and is particularly user-friendly.
The stepped head sinks flush into the wood, covering exposed wood fibres. The result: A smooth, barefoot-friendly surface that can be used safely by humans and animals alike.
High-performance features at a glance
- Compression thread: Generates a high contact pressure, joins components together so they are flush and minimises annoying creaking noises.
- Asymmetrical thread: Reduces the screw-in torque and increases the pull-out force - ideal for processing compact and hard woods.
- Faceted drill tip: Thanks to the double angles, the shortened drill tip enables precise positioning and up to 30 % faster processing in compact and hard wood (compared to conventional drill tips).
The RT5 is available in two variants: A2 stainless steel for standard applications, and A4 stainless steel for particularly demanding applications. A4 stainless steel offers additional corrosion resistance, perfect for salty conditions or woods containing tannic acid such as bangkirai and ipe.
