RT5 decking drilling screw

TERRACE CONSTRUCTION MADE EASY

Fast, clean and strong. For the professional terrace fastening of all types of wood on a wooden substructure.

FOR THE BAREFOOT TERRACE

With the RT5, we combine the tried and tested with new screw technology. Developed and produced in Germany.

A reliable stepped head with a wobble-free SIT® drive is complemented by our newly developed thread technology and a facet drill tip that enables both an even better, precise fit and a significantly faster screw start (in hard woods).

SIT®

  • Quickly access the drive and no tumbling motion
  • Maximum power transmission without the risk of over-tightening
  • Can be used with standard TX bit

STEPPED HEAD

  • The stepped head is completely countersunk in the wood when it is screwed in – it is flush with the wood surface.
Any raised wood fibres are separated by the lower step and the remaining material is covered by the upper washer.
The terrace can be used by people and animals barefoot without any problems.

A POWERFUL COMBINATION

Compression thread

The compression thread already generates a high contact pressure during the screw process, securely joining the components and preventing an unwanted forced distance. The thread standing against the screw-in direction means that forces are absorbed not only via the head but also via the entire shank area. This also eliminates creaking noises.

Asymmetrical thread

The narrow point angle of the asymmetrical thread displaces less material, which reduces the screw-in torque. In turn, more material remains between the thread flanks – this enables higher pull-out forces.

Stainless steel A2/A4

Screws made of rustproof stainless steel can prevent discolouration of the wood due to corrosion. Corrosion- and acid-resistant stainless steel A4 is recommended for woods containing tannin and salty atmospheres.

FAST AND PRECISE

Facettenbohrspitze
