Pre-mounted on the screw.

Prevent self-loosening of the plastic sleeve from the screw, even in the event of strong vibrations.

all in one saves time and money

Many individual parts = time-consuming, two-person assembly

The conventional method of fastening allows for up to three individual parts, consisting of a plumbing screw, plastic spacer and saddle washer, which must be put together before fastening. An additional person is also required to position the spacers on the underside of the fastening surface.

One fastening set = quick, one-person fastening solution

The convenient fastening solution that can be carried out completely from above, as the seal and the plastic expansion sleeve are already attached to the screw. This means that it is possible for just one person to assemble it, saving time.

The REISSER distance set is suitable for all common light panel profiles (trapezoidal and corrugated profiles) as well as all light panel types (PVC/PC). Correctly selecting the right REISSER distance set for the job depends on whether the planned substructure is made of wood or metal. Please also note the information on the light panel height and light panel thickness in order to derive the appropriate clamping area for the correct fastening set.

the right choice

What to look out for?

After subtracting the material thickness from the total height of the light panel profile, the actual dimension of the cavity is obtained. This corresponds to the clamping area and also to the sleeve size L2 of the distance set. This dimension is crucial so that the expansion sleeve can spread completely under the profile during the assembly process and thus stabilise the profile.

Calculation example

For a practical example of selecting a REISSER distance set, we have used a common light panel profile for fastening.

The planned light panel profile 35/207 has a total height (h) of 35 mm and a material thickness (t) of 1 mm.

h - t = L2 (dimension of cavity)
35 mm - 1 mm = 34 mm

The right choice:
DSH-2-A 6.0 x 90
Clamping area 34-38 mm

The planned light panel profile 35/207 has a total height (h) of 35 mm and a material thickness (t) of 2 mm.

h - t = L2 (dimension of cavity)
35 mm - 2 mm = 33 mm

DSH-2-A 6.0 x 90
Clamping area 34-38 mm

The right choice:
DSH-2-A-6.0 x 75
Clamping area 29-33 mm

IMPORTANT: The cavity dimension must not be exceeded, otherwise the expansion sleeve (L2) will be inside the drill hole and cannot expand.

Processing

Pre-drilling with the REISSER step drill.

Easy to install: Step drill does not slip through thanks to the depth stop.

Insert spacing set. The lower sleeve collar must be below the profile.

The sleeve expands under the profile.

Tighten the screw until the seal is compressed.

avoiding Errors

Assembly guidelines

The contact surface of the substructure that the light panel is fixed to must be highly reflective to avoid possible heat buildup under the panels and thus protect the light panels from severe discolouration, permanent deformation or even cracking. Always observe the assembly instructions of the profile manufacturer.

  • Paint the substructure in a light colour or white
  • Apply a reflective aluminium adhesive tape
  • Underlay with white/light-coloured (polyethylene) foam strips
  • 6-8 holders/m²

Assembly instructions

CORRECT: The panel is evenly fixed and thus stable

INCORRECT: The panel is fixed unevenly, which causes the panel to be deformed and therefore crooked.
