REISSER Schraubentechnik invests in a new electroplating shop

REISSER Schraubentechnik extends its electroplating facilities in Criesbach. The company is building another production hall that will be used to operate an innovative zinc drum system. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Monday 29th October.

REISSER is investing a total of around EUR 7 million in the 2000 square-metre production hall, including plant. Commissioning of the new plant with a 40% higher production capacity is planned for July 2019.

Michael Dartsch, Production Director at REISSER, says: "The electroplating business is one of our growth areas and is an outstanding example of how we are opening up new markets with innovative products and services. With the expansion, we are continuing the success story of our electroplating business and are positioning ourselves on the market as an attractive partner for finishing techniques, not just for screws but also increasingly as an electroplating design brand."

In Criesbach, REISSER – as one of Europe's leading manufacturers of stainless steel screws – produces fastening elements for customers from industry and also the roofing, wall and solar sectors. In its own in-house electroplating department, REISSER offers coating solutions for components from a very wide variety of industries. These include the automotive industry and valve technology.

"In the new plant, the parts to be finished are treated extremely gently and receive a very high level of corrosion protection. This enables us to meet our customers' constantly increasing corrosion protection requirements, and in so doing make a significant contribution towards greater efficiency. Major customers such as EATON have already indicated that they are interested in using the plant's capacity for their hydraulics products. “Full capacity utilisation has already been ensured”, says Dartsch.
